Kanye West 'didn't want Kim at Paris Fashion Week'

Kanye West feared Kim Kardashian wouldn't be "good for his reputation" at Paris Fashion Week, it has been claimed.

The rapper-turned-fashion designer was seen at the latest designer showcases in the French capital without his reality TV star girlfriend.

Kanye reportedly feared he wouldn't be taken seriously as a designer if he was seen with Kim at the shows. The star has previously debuted two of his collections at the French showcases, but decided not to display his fashion collection this season. He previously received negative reviews, which is said to have impacted his decision.

"[Kanye had] no intentions of bringing Kim to Paris Fashion Week. He didn't think it was good for his reputation," an insider told the New York Daily News. "He didn't want to hurt her feelings."

Kanye is apparently planning to go to Paris Fashion Week in March, but hasn't invited Kim along.

The star will reportedly show a collection at the Fall/Winter 13 event and is doing everything he can to avoid receiving criticism when he unveils it.

"He's uncomfortable bringing her," the source continued. "He wants to be taken seriously."

Although he hasn't been seen with her in Paris, last month Kim accompanied Kanye to the Marchesa New York Fashion Week show. In July, she made an appearance alongside him at Paris Couture Week. However, at both occasions reports claimed that Kim seemed disinterested in the collections unveiled.

Kanye has been palling around with some of Europe's most famous designers recently, including Peter Dundas of Pucci, Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy, and Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel.
