Kanye West gives Michael Phelps shout-out on 'The One'

Michael Phelps has his weight in gold medals and bragging rights to the title "Most Decorated Olympian of All Time." And now he's been immortalized in a Kanye West song.

West gives Phelps a shout-out on the song "The One," which is off his new collaborative album "Cruel Summer." The song features 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Marsha Ambrosius.

Though the rap is mainly a paean to Kanye (the apparent "One" in question), and features a few too many four-letter words for a family newspaper, the part with Phelps is cleaner than clean.

Here's the line:

"If you ever held a title belt you would know how Michael felt Tyson, Jackson, Jordan -- Michael Phelps."

The glory of the mention is only slightly lessened because Kanye also name-drops Scott Disick, whose main accomplishment seems to be having a baby with the sister of the woman Kanye is dating (Kim Kardashian.)

Nonetheless, as a huge fan of rap, one can only imagine Phelps is thrilled. Strangely enough though, he has yet to mention it on Twitter -- but plenty of his fans have.

"Michael Phelps name dropped in a new Kanye verse," wrote Sheilawesome. "The Olympian has finally won everything. #betterthangoldmedals."

Another named DJ Tweeted: "Phelps made it in to a Kanye song, but Lochte didn't. Time to shine them grillz, son."
