Kanye West To Return To Paris Fashion Week With His Autumn Winter 2012 Collection!

Kanye West To Return To Paris Fashion Week With His Autumn Winter 2012 Collection!

Cast your minds back to this time six months ago and you'll remember the world was waiting with baited breath for Kanye West's first collection to show during Paris Fashion Week. Grazia Daily brought you all the details first, with rumours of embellishments, sports-luxe and gold chainmail. We were excited.

The Spring Summer 2012 collection, however, was not met by err, the highest of praise. In fact, critics savagely panned it, comparing Kanye's designs to *ahem* bad prostitute clothes, while one editor tweeted that she was 'laughing at the Kanye show #MESS'. Ouch.

Which is why we can't help but admire the rapper for bravely tackling the Paris catwalks for another season. Yep, Kanye is due to show his creations for Autumn Winter 2012 at Paris Fashion Week on March 6th. A venue is yet to be confirmed.

Admittedly, much of the criticism for the collection arose because Kanye is known for being a hip hop star, not a f! ashion d esigner, thus making him an easy target. Rather than giving him the chance to prove himself, his critics jibed him for doing something outside of his usual area of expertise. But just look at how far ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has come...

And Kanye certainly has his loyal supporters. Carine Roitfeld and Lindsay Lohan were amongst the stars on his front row and none other than Anna Dello Russo championed Mr West by sporting a top-to-toe KW look consisting of a nifty little black dress. And let's not forget, where ADR leads, others follow...

After his debut last September, Kanye boldly addressed his haters, saying, Thank you for anybody that didnt believe, because they motivated us to break our boundaries. He went on to explain the pains he went to get his line off the ground: I took out motherf---ing loans to get the best models, to get the best designers, to get the best venue. I gave you everything that I had. Yikes. He finished by asking for 'a chance to grow'.

So will the critics be less harsh this time round? Only time will tell...
