We haven't heard a peep out of Kanye West about the state of his foray into fashion following that epic twitter rant back in early January, but we have heard that he plans to show again at Paris Fashion Week in the coming weeks. And though we haven't heard about the state of his signature KANYE WEST label, we do know that he seems to be as committed to fashion as ever as evidenced by his shirtless appearance in Vogue celebrating Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci as well as his support for designer Mark Fast at London Fashion Week. But if there's any new news that trumpets Yeezy's commitment to the garment arts, it's the fact that he designed the shoes for up-and-coming Australian designer Dion Lee's debut show. Also? These shoes are RAD.

Lee has been on the radar in Australia for the past couple years and is known for his impeccable tailoring and futuristic take on the modern silhouette. His latest collection was a mix of elegant suiting with see-through panels, criss-cross cutting techniques, and gauzy dresses that look like a wispy blur when you view them from afar. But the SHOES! The Kanye West designed heels were pointy black belted works of sophisticated perfection, with a delicate tied bow around the ankle and just enough toe cleavage to render them edgy. One of the strengths of West's previous KANYE WEST collection were the shoes, especially the weirdly wonderful white beaded heels with strings of pearls and oversize ankle bracelets or the black lace-up ones that looked like inky strings of spaghetti. If there's any evidence of KW being a fashion force to be reckoned withdespite the fashion world's criticism of his clothing design abilitiesit's his shoe design prowess. Not only did he spend time learning from one of the masters, Giuseppe Zanotti, he has an undying passion for Nike Air Yeezy 2s, and has always kitted his feet out in the finest of shoe wear. We think there's something to this, y'all, and we can't wait EVEN MORE to see what he sends down the runway on March 6.
