Adele, Kanye West & Chris Brown Big Winners Of 2012 Grammy Awards

Adele, Kanye West and Chris Brown were among the big winners at the 54th Grammy Awards show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles last night.

London-born Adele blew away her star studded competition by taking home six awards, including Best Album for her multi-platinum sophomore release 21, Song of the Year - 'Rolling in the Deep,' Record of the Year - 'Rolling in the Deep,' Best Pop Solo Performance - 'Someone Like You,' Best Pop Vocal Album -21, and Best Short Form Music Video - 'Rolling in the Deep.'

In an emotional acceptance speech for Album of the Year the tearful 23-year-old thanked legendary producer Rick Rubin, her boyfriend and her mum, telling the latter: "First of all I just wanna say, mum - girl did good!"

Other stars winning big included Kanye West, who wasn't at the event but triumphed with Jay-Z in the Best Rap Peformance category for their Watch the Throne track Otis, Best Rap Collaboration and Best Rap Song for 'All of the Lights' and Best Rap Album for My Dark Beautiful Twisted Fantasy.

Chris Brown laid the ghosts of his 2009 pre-Grammy domestic assault scandal to rest with a storming performance alongside DJ David Guetta as well as taking home the Best R&B Album title for F.A.M.E.
