Hackney Weekend sounds like a memorial holiday for an early 20th Century massacre, but its actually a festival, and a bunch of our favorite rappers took the stage for this years edition, including Jay-Z , Azealia Banks, Santigold, and Dizzee Rascal. And yes, there were one or two non-rap performances we would have liked to post, but theyre not on YouTube. So unless you want to watch a full LostProphets set, just chill out and watch these, because theyre great.Kanye joins Jigga for a performance of Niggas In Paris (who starts a couple very impressive circle pits); Azealia Banks tears down the house with a couple of high fashion freakniks; Santigold performs Disparate Youth looking and sounding like Lee Perrys granddaughter; and Dizzee Rascal cuts the popstar crap for a second and plays his earlier, much better music. Were halfway through festival season, and already these videos are making me want to spend my savings on a trip to one.
