Kanye West Sued Over Another Sample, Man Seeks $500k

Just when things were settled in the Syl Johnson vs. Ye & Hov case, Kanyes been hit with another lawsuit (via AllHipHop).

The Persuaders Robert Poindexter is suing Kanye West over an alleged uncleared sample of the R&B groups Trying Girls Out. According to the lawsuit, Kanye was aware the sample (used in Freshman Adjustment 2s 2006 Girls Girls Girls remix) was not clear prior to use because a cleared version appeared on the original Girls Girls Girls in 2001.

Poindexter says hes tried to resolve the matter outside of court, but Kanyes refused to discuss any resolutions.

As a result, Poindexter is seeking $500,000 in damages. Stephanie Long
