Kanye West ejected a fan from one of his concerts earlier this week for throwing business cards onto the stage.

The rapper, who was performing at Washington's Tacoma Dome with Jay-Z, demanded that an entire section of the audience was dismissed unless the perpetrator came forward, MTV reports.

"I see it come from that direction, so all four of them got to go. Unless one person raises their hand and says, 'I'm the one who did it', all that whole section gotta go," he said on stage following the incident.

West claimed that the fan jeopardised the safety of the performers by introducing potential slip hazards to the elaborate stage setup, which included two giant platforms.

"These cubes go 20 feet in the air, fam. We risking our lives up here, you can't go throwing s**t that we gonna slip on," he added.

The culprit was identified and ejected from the venue.
