Jay-Z, Kanye West 'paid 4m for 16th birthday party'

Jay-Z and Kanye West have allegedly received 4m ($6.2m) for performing at a 16th birthday party.

The Watch the Throne duo pocketed 1.9m ($2.9m) each after making an appearance at the celebration in Dubai over the festive season.

According to The Sun, the rappers played for the daughter of an Arab billionaire and her guests two weeks before Christmas.

Jay-Z and Kanye West completed a two-month tour of the US and Canada at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver on December 18.

The '99 Problems' rapper recently said that touring with West was "like the best party you've ever been to every night".

Jay-Z also teased that the pair may reunite for a follow-up album to Watch the Throne.
