Kanye West in talks to be 'American Idol' judge?
Kanye West has reportedly been asked by American Idol bosses to join the judging panel.
After the much-publicised exits of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler last year, high profile new judging talent is being sought by the show's producers.
Mariah Carey has already joined on an $18m contract, and Nicki Minaj is heavily rumoured to also be close to signing up.
Now, TMZ reports that West has expressed an interest in working on the show after being approached.
However, the rapper is reported to be "on the fence" about the suitability of the role, with money also being an issue.
Other names linked with judging spots on the show include fellow rapper P Diddy, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and Enrique Iglesias.
