Kim Kardashian and Kanye West seem to be dressing to complement each other ever since going public earlier this year, but the rapper couldn't have looked more different to the reality star as they stepped out for a theatre trip this weekend.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star didn't waste her photo opportunity to look glamourous in New York, as she stepped out in a black velvet peplum dress, while Kanye opted for a much more casual look.

Kanye wore a light denim jacket, and a grey t-shirt and ripped, light jeans for the night out, complete with bright white high-tops.

Kim also looked out of place when they bumped into her pal Jonathan Cheban, who wore a cap and jeans as the trio chatted on the street.

The 31-year-old tweeted about the coincidence soon after dinner, as she wrote: "Took a stroll lnite w my boyfriend & ran into my BFF @jonathancheban #LoveRandomMoments"
