Katy Perry covers a Jay Z/Kanye West song for Radio 1

What song did blue haired Katy Perry choose to cover for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge? A sweet-as-homemade-pie song all about cakes and puppies? Nope. Katy opted for a brow-raising rendition of a Jay Z and Kanye West song called, N***** in Paris.

Not wanting to shock her assembled crowd of Katy lovers too much, the California Gurl swapped the original N-word for the word Ninjas instead. So she sang Ninjas in Paris.

To get into character for her cover, Katy slipped on a New York Yankees baseball cap and performed with a little extra swagger in her step.

The singer was performing at BBC Radio 1 after an apparently eventful night on the town last night. Perry was reportedly enjoying a not-so-quiet night out in London's infamous Mahiki when she heard a rumour that her ex-hubby, Russell Brand, was apparently about to turn up. To avoid an awkward run-in, Katy quickly hop-skipped-and-jumped with her crew to another London club.

Whilst out on the tiles last night, Katy went for a bit more of a feisty look wearing a Cushnie Et Ochs pleated skirt and a bosom-framing cut-out top. While we get that she matched her boot laces to her blue locks, we would have so liked to have seen her minus the tights and with a pair of sexy pointed courts instead. We bet that cropped silver sweater helped with any London chill factor you were feeling, didn't it love? Though it might not have protected from anicy ex-hubby reunion. Probs best she scarpered then!
