Jay-Z and Kanye West add second Birmingham LG Arena date
Jay-Z and Kanye West, aka The Throne, have confirmed a second date at Birmingham LG Arena which will mark the end of a 19-date European tour.
The rap superstars confirmed their Watch The Throne tour at the end of last month and due to phenomenal demand are giving fans the chance to see them live on Friday, June 22, 2012, nine days after their first date at the LG Arena.
This show will mark the end of the tour, which sees them visiting London, Stockholm, Paris and Frankfurt, to name a few.
The tour comes following the duos huge success at the 2012 Grammy Awards, winning the award for Best Rap Performance for their track Otis.
Having appeared as guests on each others stages in the past, the longtime friends and music innovators inspired each other to new heights with their collaboration on the album Watch The Throne. Over a year in the making and a truly global affair, the duo recorded in London and Bath in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Paris, and New York City.
The album features production from The RZA, The Neptunes and Kanyes longtime collaborator Mike Dean. The shortlist of featured vocals includes Frank Ocean, Beyonc, Curtis Mayfield and Mr. Hudson.
