Kanye West's Attack On Barack Obama Keeps Him In Pop Powerlist 2013?

Image
WENN Kanye West shocked us all when he launched an attack on President Obama earlier this year and although his comments were harsh, new reports suggest that this is the reason why the rapper has remained in the Pop Powerlist 2013. The Stronger singer is still at number 34 in the list and it's suggested that without the Obama comments, he wouldn't have made it at all, 4Music reports. Kanye told London crowds on February 23rd: I dont give a f**k what the presidents got to say, the rapper said in his freestyle-like rant. This is the same guy who once referred to himself as the abomination of Obamas nation in a song, which now seems pretty close to the truth. Kanye is almost certainly referring to the many times that Obama referred to the rapper as a "jackass," Hollywoodlife reports. Both times referring to Kanyes infamous Taylor Swift moment at the 2009 VMAs, Obama dropped the insult first in an interview with CNBC , and then again in a story in The Atlantic . Kanye W...

Kardashian wants to name baby Easton

Kim Kardashian wants to call her and Kanye West's baby Easton West, but insists they have no plans to name the little one North. The reality TV star - who is expecting her and boyfriend Kanye West's first child in July - shot down speculation the couple are planning to call their little one North, but admitted they have drawn up a shortlist of potential monikers and she is hoping the rapper will allow her to call their kid Easton West. When asked about plans to name the couple's baby North, she replied: 'That is not true. That is not one of the names on our list. But you know what name I do like? But it probably won't be on (the list). 'Cause it kinda goes with North, I like Easton. Easton West. I think that's cute.' Following the revelation she was immediately asked whether she is expecting a boy, but insisted Easton West would be a suitable name whatever the sex of their child. Speaking on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno', she added: 'Boys ...

Kanye West, the rapper who would be God

Its hard to say quite when Kanye Wests staggering confidence came into play. Was it receiving the first perfect 10.0 review from Pitchfork in a decade? The culmination of his 21 Grammy awards? Impregnating a Kardashian? Whatever it was, weve created a monster. But it wasnt always like this. When West started out on his solo career in 2004, his first album was modestly titled The College Drop-out . He followed that with Late Registration the following year, both album titles nodding to his indifferent approach to education; failures even. It was the last time we would see such a self-deprecating personality. Rumours began circulating this week that West plans to call his next album I am a God which quickly sent the internet into overdrive. An insider then confirmed the title to The Huffington Post , before adding, We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being (whatever thats supposed to mean). Then in another twist, an anonymous source indicated...

Kim Kardashian And Kanye West To 'Name Their Baby Khrist'?

Image
Judy Eddy/WENN Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have remained tight-lipped on confirming baby details, but with baby-name rumours surfacing rapidly, and the gossip mill going into overdrive, sources are now claiming that Kimye are considering naming their bundle of joy "Khrist". Kim Kardashian has revealed that giving birth in Paris is a possibility, but when it comes to baby names the reality TV star says that her rapper beau and her are "still deciding". According to sources, Kim is keen to keep up with her family's tradition of starting names with a K, and is now considering Kanye's option of "Khrist". Like Christ but with a K. Kanye likes the name Khrist, an insider told Naughty But Nice Rob , which is a big coincidence seeing as the Watch The Throne rapper has a new single coming out called I Am A God and is clearly not worried about being accused of blasphemy. "I know it is shocking, but let's remember that this is a guy that is naming ...

Kanye West's holy track title

Kanye West's new single will be called I Am A God . The controversial rapper's next album was originally rumoured to be given the holy moniker I Am God , but a source has now revealed it is actually the title of his next single and insisted there would be an extra 'A' in the name. The insider confirmed the title to the Huffington Post, before adding: "We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being." The Biblical-inspired track is thought to be a reference to Psalm 82, which details the idea that all people are manifestations of higher beings. The Psalm words include: "I said, "You are gods/ And all of you are children of the Most High./ But you shall die like men/ And fall like one of the princes." West's songwriter Malik Yusef appears to have confirmed the news in a tweet to Team Kanye Daily. He posted: "@TeamKanyeChi its "I am(A) GOD" FAMO #psalms 82 (sic)" The 35-year-old singer i...

Kanye Wests next album is NOT titled I Am God

On Tuesday, rumors about the title of Kanye Wests next album caused uproar as it was reportedly titled I Am God , boldly suggesting that he was the incarnation of the Judeo-Christian deity. This is not the first time West has been the center of religious controversy. He was on the cover of the July 2006 issue of Rolling Stone with a bloodied face and wearing a crown of thorns on his head. His interview was titled The Passion of Kanye West a reference to Mel Gibsons lurid film about Jesus crucifixion, Passion of the Christ . However, the Huffington Post reports that the rumors about Wests next album title are false on many levels. Foremost, a representative for the artist assured, We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being. Second, the title was misspelled. Instead of the crass declaration I Am God, the title is actually I Am a God. This phrase is inspired by the Bible itself, specifically Psalm 82 that reads: I said, You are gods, And all ...

Kanye West: Is 'I Am God' his next album title?

Kanye West was reported to be considering 'I Am God' as the title for his new album, but is that really the artist's plan? Some sources say the phrase 'I Am A God' is actually the title of one of Kanye West's new songs. Is rapper Kanye West considering the name I Am God for his next album? Skip to next paragraph No, he is not, according to an anonymous source that spoke to E! News . In addition, someone that the Huffington Post cited as a reliable source in West's camp said that the phrase is actually the name of one of Wests songs on his upcoming album, not the title, which is where the misunderstanding may have arisen. The title, added the source, is I Am A God, not I Am God. We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being, the source said, according to the Huffington Post. (Your guess is as good as ours as to what that we indicates.) The source said the album title hasnt been decided on yet. The impression that West ...

Kanye West Wants To Name His Next Album 'I Am God'

By Eric Brown | March 26 2013 6:08 PM Kanye West seems to have trouble with names. Last week he revealed that he and Kim Kardashian may give their child the ridiculous name North, and now reports have surfaced that the rapper plans to take his megalomania to new heights by naming his next album I Am God. Twitter/Kim Kardashian Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Sponsorship Link The BBC first reported that Wests latest album would be titled I Am God as a minor note in a story about potential baby names for the West-Kardashian offspring. Following the BBC report, other media outlets reported on the news, checking in with sources close to West to confirm that the rapper who once sang Jesus Walks really means it. Kanyes ego is something else, so hes quite serious about the title, an unnamed insider told Yahoo . He also has a sense of humor, though, and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. Its half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true. As for Wests ...

Is Kanye West naming his new album 'I Am God'?

Image
There are conflicting reports about the name of Kanye's next album, though it could be a "half tongue-in-cheek" reference to the rapper's supposed Messiah complex. Not only is Kanye West's baby's name the subject of fevered speculation, the title of the rapper's forthcoming album is also making headlines. Though BBC News reported this weekend that Kanye West could name his next album, "I Am God," a source told E! News the rumor wasn't true. "The title Kanye is supposed to be contemplating for his new album, I Am God, is said to be "half tongue-in-cheek," Charles Nevin wrote for the BBC last week. West's forthcoming sixth album would be his first since "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," which dropped in 2010. An E! News source denied that West was even considering "I Am God" as an album name. But a tweet from Roots' drummer Questlove seemed to suggest that the audacious album title is still in th...

Kanye West to name new album I Am God?

Kanye West is raising eyebrows again with a rumor that hes naming his sixth studio album I Am God. BBC News reports that the album title is half tongue-in-cheek and appears to be the first confirmation that West is planning to release a new album for 2013. While the Grammy-winning performers notorious ego isnt entirely unwarranted, West has ruffled some feathers with religious imagery before. In February, he and pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian imitated the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. He also posed as Jesus on a Jan. 2006 cover of Rolling Stone wearing a crown of thorns. ELIOT PRESS/bauergriffinonline.c Kanye West with his pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian. The BBC article goes on to say that West and hi...

Phew. According to Kim, despite coming up with a list they can't quite make up their minds on whether to continue her family's tradition of having a name beginning with a 'K' She told Extra: "I think it would be really cute 'cause Kanye and I are both 'K's but half the names on our list aren't 'K's. "We still have time, whatever feels right. "Kanye being the father, [he] wants something that's unique." Kim - who is due to give birth in July - also spoke about press reports that focus on her weight, saying: "There are maybe two or three covers just thi! s week that say I am 200 pounds. The rapper recently joked that he was considering the name North for his firstborn with Kim Kardashian - which would make the child's full name North West. While the statement was likely a ploy to keep fans guessing, Nameberry reports that nouns are indeed a baby-naming trend these days, with Ridge and Holiday some of the more outlandish choices.
