Kanye West leads BET Awards 2012 nominations

The singer is up for six potential awards at this year's ceremony.

Samuel L Jackson will host the BET Awards on Sunday, July 1 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj are already confirmed to perform at the show, which will air live on US television.
